Within only 3 months, more than 107,000 people have availed loans of Rs. 61 billion. For the first time ever in Punjab, 57,913 new businesses were launched within 90 days.
Loans amounting to Rs. 23.91 billion were given for initiating new ventures. For the first time, 6,753 women were given loans amounting to Rs. 3.42 billion for operating their own businesses. The Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has ordered that the procedure for pending applications under the Easy Business Finance and Card Loan Scheme Apna Kamao Apna Khao be finalized in a hurry.
According to the directive of the Chief Minister, Easy Business Card can now also be activated through WhatsApp. She has also requested a loan plan for targeting the export and manufacturing industries and asserted that the Online Business Finance and Easy Business Card Program must not be discontinued at any cost.
A special session under the chairmanship of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif was conducted on the Easy Business Finance and Card Program. There was a comprehensive briefing about both programs in the session.
Sara Umar, MD of PSIC, gave an update on the Easy Business Scheme:
• Under the Chief Minister Easy Business Finance Scheme, loans worth Rs. 18 billionhave been issued to 3,010 individuals.
• Under the Easy Business Card Scheme, loans worth Rs. 43 billionhave been issued to 104,000 individuals.
Applications & Approvals:
• For CM Easy Business Finance: 74,579 applications, 2,505 approved, loans disbursed.
• For CM Easy Business Finance Tier-II: 12,029 applications, 505 approved, loans disbursed.
• For CM Easy Business Card Scheme: 1,380,838 applications, 104,133 approved.
• For various sectors such as Professional Services, Agriculture, Dairy, Food, Beautician, Auto, Fertilizer, Pesticides, and others, there’s a growing trend of acquiring loans.
Through the Easy Business Card, the highest number of loans — Rs. 26.13 billion — were taken by 61,996 individualsproviding services.
• For Trading, 24,522 individualsreceived loans worth Rs. 10.75 billion.
• For Agri Small Businesses, 10,699 individualsreceived loans worth Rs. 3.69 billion.

This groundbreakinginitiative has enormously empowered people of Punjab by ensuringthat access to moneyis easy, and thousands have been able to establish or grow their own enterprises. It has benefited most of all unemployed youth, women entrepreneurs, and small traders who didnotearlier have collateral or institutionalfinancing.
By pushingfor self-employment and financialautonomy, the program is eliminating poverty, creatingemployment, and pushing local economies in the province.
The emphasis on being inclusive, digitallyaccessible (e.g.,activatedthroughWhatsApp), and supportiveofavariety of sectors ensures a broadbase of beneficiaries, ultimately leading to a more independent and wealthy Punjab.
There are two primaryschemes under this program launched by CM Maryam Nawaz's government:
1. Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme: Offersinterest-free business loansbetweenPKR 100,000 to PKR 30 million. 2. Asaan Karobar Card: A revolving credit facility of up to PKR 1 million inthe form of a digital card, interest-free.
Who is Eligible?
• Age: 21–55 years • Residency:Domicile inPunjabrequired • CNIC: Valid and mobile number on it registered • Tax Status: Active FBR filer • Business Location: Business premisesin Punjab • Credit History: Clean credit record • One Application Rule: One application per individual/business only
Eligible for men, women, persons with disabilities, and transgender people.
