Punjab Govt Announces Summer Vacations June 1 to Aug 9

The Punjab School Education Department has issued officially summer vacations across Punjab. According to the notification, all government and private schools will be closed from June 1, 2025, to August 9, 2025.

The action has been taken keeping in mind heat and health of students. The spokesperson of a department said the holidays could be extended by one week if temperature goes up more as a precaution.

Parents and school teachers have welcomed this decision because intense summer temperatures may affect children's health. The school heads have been requested to complete all the academic assignments prior to holidays and assign homework or summer projects to students.

It must be noted here that summer breaks usually start around early June nowadays, and so this announcement has been expected while temperatures are going up.
